Skippers

Skippers is a sculptural airport eatery where Otago geology meets mid-century modernism. Its form and placement respond to the natural flow of passengers through the lounge, much like glaciers and rivers have shaped the Queenstown landscape. Inspired by the adventurous legacy of Skippers Canyon, the design brings a playful yet subtle nod to this historic site – grounding the space in both movement and memory. The result is a kiosk that feels purposeful and organic, blending material honesty with a sense of place.
